Margaret Payne Wilson

Margaret Payne Wilson, 81, died Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Savannah Cottage. She was a native of Bowie, Maryland, lived most of her life in Savannah and was preceded in death by her husband, Howard “Whitey” Wilson.
Prior to her marriage she was a stenographer at Pusey and Jones in Wilmington, Delaware. Her lifelong career was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and John Nichols, of Savannah, her son, Howard S. Wilson, of Marietta, Ga., her twin brother and sister-in-law, Nelson and Doris Payne, of Greenbackville, Virginia, five grandchildren, Margaret “Meg” Wilson, Ashley Wilson, Dennis Nichols, Abigail Nichols, and Joseph Nichols.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2006 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2006 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Remembrances may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association – GA Chapter, 1925 Century Blvd., Suite 10, Atlanta, GA 30345.
